Quoted from Deepak Chopra, "How to Know God," page 17, copyright 2000.

"A striking example that there is a reachable place beyond material reality is prayer. Beginning more than twenty years ago, researchers devised experiments to try to verify whether prayer had any efficacy. Seriously ill patients in hospitals were divided into groups, some being prayed for while others were not. In all cases best medical care was still given, yet it became evident that the prayed-for group seemed to recover better. This result was all the more astonishing when it was discovered that the person doing the praying didn't have to know the patient personally, or even know their names. But only in 1998 did a Duke University team verify to all skeptics that prayer indeed has such power. The researchers took into account all manner of variables, including heart rate, blood pressure, and clinical outcomes; 150 patients who had undergone invasive cardiac procedures were studied, but none of them knew that they were being prayed for. Seven religious groups around the world were asked to pray. These included Buddhists in Nepal, Carmelite nuns in Baltimore, and Virtual Jerusalem, an organization that grants E-mail requests for prayers to be written down and inserted into the Wailing Wall. Researchers found that surgical patients' recovery could be from 50 to 100 percent better if someone prayed for them."

The study was too small to offer statistically significant comparisons according to the medical community. A larger study is planned in the future. We will also sponsor or conduct related studies into prayer research with any revenues earned through the magazine subscription links that appear on this site.

My wife and I want to thank all of you for praying for our reunion with our daughter Marina, after nearly 3 years. (We were the small posting, about 3 down in the request for prayers for a child.)

Early this morning, we heard the joyous news that after 7 visa declines, she has been finally issued a visa to join us! We will be seeing her for Thanksgiving. Thank you all for your love and prayers!!!!

The special story about this, is that after we posted the prayer request on this site, a person we had only known "by sight," approached us at a chance meeting at an art gallery. She was having a problem linking her website to an art community site that we had a working knowledge of. We invited her to our home, and after a very short period, had her website connected. We got to know each other in the next hour, and she asked us what we were going to be doing for Thanksgiving. We told her that we were trying for a reunion with our daughter after nearly 3 years (she can't come to America because she's in a general category of women who are likely to stay here, and not return to her country...hmmm...didn't most of our ancestors come here to stay and escape where they were from? My wife is afraid to go back to her country because the last time they were refusing to let her leave to come back to me.). Anyway, she asked which country. Puzzled, we told her the country. She said "my very best friend is the consulate general of that country's embassy. Would you like my help?"

I don't know what the chances of that happening, with all the billions of people on this planet, and at that precise moment in time, but it must be an astronomical number. My wife and I are still in shock that we would be "guided" to this chance meeting, at the exact time in our lives when we needed help. The only possible explanation was that all of your prayers and good wishes led this special "spirit" to us. I don't think you need to ask us if we now believe even MORE strongly in the power of prayer, or in the help we've received through this website. We love you all! We have been smiling for the last 10 hours!

MY PERSONAL TESTIMONY – ALL THE GLORY TO JESUS CHRIST.

Thank you very much for requesting prayers for me and my wife Aina. I have been travelling with the Gospel for many years. I have been preached in Baptist Churches, Pentecostal in Norway and overseas in California, Los Angeles, San Diego, Jackson, England, Brazil and Denmark and other different places.

I have been travelling for my own ministry under the name “Miracle –Centre, Voice of grease”. I was an alcoholic with angst, fear and problems with my nerves.

Jesus Christ came to me in 1966. I was 22 years old. I didn’t seek the Lord. I was like Paulus when I got to see Jesus. He came to me out in the street in my hometown. I had drunk a lot of alcohol the day before and I was very sick. Nobody helped me or was near me, nobody deed care about me. Nobody came and told me about Jesus Christ, but He did, He came by him self. I felt a very strongly love and a voice who sad to me: “Give me your heart”.

I know it was Jesus who spook to me, because when God speaks, you just know it, you can’t misunderstand. He saved me and healed me from alcohol, tobacco, cancer, heart problems, diabetic, lumbago and 4 car accidences where I was near dead.

It is many things I could have told you about visions and true dreams. In the year 1984, came Gods angel Gabriel with the message from Jesus Christ;”God will give you the gift of miracle and healing power and many will be healed”. Media, radio and TV spooked about miracles as God did. The biggest of all is that I am saved of grease thru Jesus blood.

Today we pray for many people over phone. In the summertime we are travelling to meet people. We are open and let God lead us with the Holy Spirit.

Do you have problems, send us an email and we will pray for you. With all our heart we wish you and your family/ministry the very best in life.

Sincerely

Rev. Per Einar and Aina-Karin Jensen

Norway.

NOW THAT'S GOD

It was one of the hottest days of the dry season. We had not seen rain in almost a month. The crops were dying. Cows had stopped giving milk. The creeks and streams were long gone back into the earth. It was a dry season that would bankrupt several farmers before it was through.
Every day, my husband and his brothers would go about the arduous process of trying to get water to the fields. Lately this process had involved taking a truck to the local water rendering plant and filling it up with water. But severe rationing had cut everyone off. If we
Didn’t see some rain soon...we would lose everything. It was on this day that I learned the true lesson of sharing and witnessed the only miracle I have seen with my own eyes. I was in the kitchen making lunch for my husband and his brothers when I saw my
Six-year-old son, Billy, walking toward the woods. He wasn't walking with the usual carefree abandon of a youth but with a serious purpose. I could only see his back. He was obviously walking with a great effort ... trying to be as still as possible. Minutes after he disappeared into the woods, he came running out again, toward the house. I went back to making sandwiches; thinking that whatever task he had been doing was completed. Moments later, however, he was once again walking in that slow purposeful stride toward the woods. This activity went on for an hour: walking carefully to the woods, running back to the house.

Finally I couldn't take it any longer and I crept out of the house and followed him on his journey (being very careful not to be seen...as he was obviously doing important work and didn't need his Mommy checking up on him). He was cupping both hands in front of him as he walked, being very careful not to spill the water he held in them ... maybe two or three tablespoons were held in his tiny hands. I sneaked close as he went into the woods. Branches and thorns slapped his little face, but he did not try to avoid them. He had a much higher purpose. As I leaned in to spy on him, I saw the most amazing site.

Several large deer loomed in front of him. Billy walked right up to them. I almost screamed for him to get away. A huge buck with elaborate antlers was dangerously close. But the buck did not threaten him...he didn't even move as Billy knelt down. And I saw a tiny fawn lying on the ground; obviously suffering from dehydration and heat exhaustion, lift its head with great effort to lap up the water cupped in my beautiful boy's hand. When the water was gone, Billy jumped up to run back to the house and I hid behind a tree.
I followed him back to the house to a spigot to which we had shut off the water. Billy opened it all the way up and a small trickle began to creep out. He knelt there, letting the drip, drip slowly fill up his makeshift "cup," as the sun beat down on his little back. And it came clear to me: The trouble he had gotten into for playing with the hose the week before. The lecture he had received about the importance of not wasting water. The reason he didn't ask me to help him. It took almost twenty minutes for the drops to fill his hands. When he stood up and began the trek back, I was there in front of him.

His little eyes just filled with tears. "I'm not wasting," was all he said. As he began his walk, I joined him...with a small pot of water from the kitchen. I let him tend to the fawn. I stayed away. It was his job. I stood on the edge of the woods watching the most beautiful heart I have ever known working so hard to save another life. As the tears that rolled down my face began to hit the ground, other drops...and more drops...and more suddenly joined them. I looked up at the sky. It was as if God, himself, was weeping with pride.
Some will probably say that this was all just a huge coincidence. Those miracles don't really exist. That it was bound to rain sometime. And I can't argue with that... I'm not going to try. All I can say is that the rain that came that day saved our farm...just like the actions of one little boy saved another.
I don't know if anyone will read this...but I had to send it out. To honor the memory of my beautiful Billy, who was taken from me much too soon... But not before showing me the true face of God, in a little, sunburned body.

I am writing to request prayer for to of my co-workers. Mrs. Maria Pallis-McCarthy and Mrs. Ita Leach. Ms. McCarthy is having very serious surgery today and tomorrow to remove a tumor from her brain stem. The tumor has eaten away most of the bone in her neck and it is just muscle that allows Maria to hold her head up. The doctors are going to attempt to replace the damaged bone in her neck with bone from her hip. This will be done over a two day period. Maria is fairly you late 20's - early 30's. She just gave birth to a baby girl last year. Please pray with me that the Lord would go into the operating room and take charge of the procedure and that Maria will come out of this whole ordeal fine. Mrs. Leach has been diagnosed with some form of Cancer and is also in need of prayers for healing. These are two excellent, hard-working and dedicated teachers from The Essex County Vocational Schools in Newark, New Jersey. Thanking you in advance for the prayers that I know you all will offer up.

Thank you for all of your prayers!
I KNOW how powerful prayer is. This is one of many times I have used the internet and asked others from all over to pray for me, and each time, God has blessed me. I had a D&C last week for tremendous uterine bleeding and fibroids. A biopsy was done and today I was told all the cells are normal. Thank God. Next is a hysterectomy due to uterine size. No cancer. Continue praying that the surgery goes well...Nov. 29.
God bless all those who have remembered me in their prayers.
In the name of Jesus

Dear Heavenly Father:
Am trying to know want to do about a coworker. That ever after 6 months he can’t learn his job. And he is very slow that it put the whole team behind by hours. And ever though he is very nice about it. He’s busy disrespectful to make everyone stop and help him so much. On the busiest days.; Out of a group of 12 workers for a day, 4 people will stop there work 4 - 10 times to help him. But he is not returning the favor.

Because he is older and a friend of the manger we just put up with it. But some times some of us are up set for days. Just hope he’s not working that day. Please heavenly Father let there be a brake though in this problem. Let him find other job or money doing something else. Or if he is really lazy and using use like we believe; please give the general manger the widow to know how to let him go very soon.

Please give all of us the tools to handle this. If you what me some ware else, lead me Lord to your place and time you what it to happen. Bless all that are for the team give us protection for all thought that are pulling us down. In Jesus Name Amen.
