NOTE: You might be wondering how people would come to know an orphan's name, if an orphan has not been adopted. Good question! Actually, many religious organizations sponsor summer visits for the orphans, and many loving families have taken these beautiful children in their homes. Hopefully you will ask your religious group about these programs. Usually the children have passed the age of 5 years, and have a very slim chance at being adopted. Their destiny will be to live in the orphanage until they are 18 years of age, and then they will go out, alone, to make it in the world.

Prayer Angel Fact and Prayer Request: There are 153,000 children adopted each year in the United States alone. Most people think it is very expensive to adopt, and it is, with fees and travel running from $10,000 to over $30,000 depending on the country. Unfortunately, there are over 3,000,000 children living in the combined orphanages of Romania, Bulgaria, and Russia alone.
What can you do? If you know people that want to adopt, let them know that many religious groups will pay up to 1/2 of the fees, or up to a maximum of $10,000, whichever is less. So that's part of the financial formula. Have them check out resources in their religious groups.
What about the rest of the monies you ask? All of it can come from a simple Home Equity loan if the couple owns a home. Have the couple ask their adoption agency representatives for more information.

Please pray for Ionela who lives in a state-run group home for teens at risk. Ionela was abandoned at birth and spent her first 5 years in a Romanian orphanage. My company is a national non-profit Christian organization that has struggled under the leadership of an CEO whose poor judgement led to the lost of over a million dollars.
